Who is this I see in this glass of life
Is it an image of my physical or a deeper doorway to my spiritual?
Who is this I see; hair locked; sprouting with the resemblance from a mane of a lion…I see my beginning
I see a time when gods were not apportions but men who reached the pinnacle of enlightenment…However, time has changed now…due to distortions of my own sacred documents
You ask if I have faith do I… believe in the unseen?
Or are you deceiving me to believe that with my own eyes…I can’t see
I see in this glass of life the vintage of creation, the blood of generations I see…pharaohs of great nations
But…there’s another side of the reflection I…have disrespected the glory of myself
By turning my back on my culture which has given the world everything from mathematics to science from…philosophy to religion…
To now thinking I’m only good for dancing to some beat or cooking soul food in your kitchen…
You…have psychologically dismantled my children’s classrooms with false curriculum of civilizations…
When in fact you didn’t know who or what a living god was until you came across…my nation…
Why…is my history coined as a mystery; hmmm…
It is to hide the pages of My-story (mystery) and have it rewritten as His-story (history) you see…if you dig deeper you’ll understand the story…
I say…we are the conglomeration of life’s infinite possibilities
We…are as many as waves in seas…
But…I still hear voices in my head saying…brotha what are you talking about…astronomy, alchemy, and philosophy…sounds to me you a heathen nigga!
But…do they understand that word nigga comes from the mispronunciation of the word Niger; which in Latin means the color black; yet…there again…some are just too ignorant to figure…and they say that I can’t read
So what does this mean…
It means that I am the creator of civilization…I creator and creation in one…I am…forever
As I gaze into this glass of life…What is I am.
